i worked there whilst at college to pay the bills ect... it wasnt that bad. i got sacked for slacking.. but hey... its worth a go...

from what i remeber the pay isnt bad. its above minimum and you get periodical wage reviews every few months, and if you are a good boy you get a rise. but if not you get sacked for slacking! guess what i got!

No don't do it, as said supermarket is prob best.

Funny story about a mate who worked in the kitchen in Wishy McD's

It was his first day and he was shown how to make Big Macs

Around luchtime, really busy, chips flying & kids screaming:

Manager: Darren! We need 10 Big Macs
Darren: Ok *makes 10 Big Macs*
Darren: What do I do with these now?
Manager: Put them in the bin!

Edit: Infact join up and you could write a sitcom
Now, apparently, the term some people use for the small chute that the burgers are dispensed from the kitchen to the tills is called "the bin"

*2 mins later*

Manager: Darren! Where the fuck are thoes big Macs?
Darren: I put them in the bin like you said

*Manager looks at the actual waste bin*

Manager: Awwww fuck!

Very hard to get though.
My local asda were recruiting in June, over 400 people applied and they could not give out anymore CVs after that, that was in the space of about 2 weeks :wall:

I've worked there part time for 2 years now and its a right laugh, friggin easy, flexible hours but you have to shower after every shift lol.

I did it for all of 3 days as a 16yr old, my first job.

I applied for part time, short day shifts and on the newbies tour they said "this is the kitchen, don't worry, none of you will be working in here" ...needless to say I did!

I was given long arse 9 hour shifts almost everyday on the rota and working in the kitchen is hard!

We had a powercut one of the few days I was there and we could all go home which was a highlight! A girl had told me to say I had the shits if I wanted a day off (which I did).

Anyhoo, after the first few hours I was left on my own in the kitchen and put under a lot of pressure and given a lot of shit which I wouldn't have put up with now.

You get free McDs though, a meal a day when you were working was what it was when I was there. But that means that you put on weight!

Blockbuster and bar work was more agreeable for me.

Oh yeah, and as Ben said, you stink after every shift.

yer i used to work there but then just got sick of the manager speaking down to you even though they have obviously got no life and no academic abilities to be still working full time in maccy d's

I had countless arguements but to be honest its a piece of piss job in the kitchen and usually theres some fit there that keeps you entertained
