Does your car fail the M.O.T if your door doesnt stay open on a latch thingy? Because in the the M.O.T checks thread it says

"DOORS

Both front doors must be capable of being opened from the inside and outside and all doors must latch securely. "

My passanger side door doesnt stay open for some reason. How pathetic if it fails the M.O.T over that...

As I understood it, the doors must open from the inside and the outside. The meaning of 'latch securely' was that the door must close and stay closed, therefore latched securely.

Basically the door must be opened from the inside and the outside

If you crash something catches on fire you need to escape quickly then you have to get out from any of the doors its for safety not stupid.

Not sure what you mean tbh you mean when you open your door it closes straight away? as long as you can open the door from the inside or the outside its fine if its jammed its gonna fail !
