is anyone having it?
Ive been thinking about just to avoid getting flu. I get flu normally once a year at some point but so thought this might avoid it.
This has nothing to do with the recent swine flu pandemic. A lad at work has had the flu jab for the past few years and he has said that hes not had flu since.
So again, has anyone had it?
good points?
bad points?
Cost?

I have it every year - diabetes ftw lol
It doesnt hurt at all but that depends on whether your a pussy or not to me it doesnt hurt and you have to perfectly healthy, no sign of infection ie cold, cough etc
Good points - you dont get flu
Bad points - there are none
Cost - dont know about that as i get it for free

if im honest, if your 12 or 60, get one, but if your inbetween, and healthy, theres no real point. i had swine flu a few weeks ago and ive been more ill from a heavy night out, wouldnt rate it as viruses go, medicore at best...

oh, and the flu jab doesnt cover you for flu in general, only a few majority strains that are around at the time. the influenza virus mutates very quickly so the flu that is around this year will be completely different to next years type. the jab only reduces the chance of getting flu for a while, thats why the elderly have 1 every year

Also you feel like shit for a few days when u have the injection, cos they basically inject u with flu to get your antibodies defense up

Think if your healthy you wont get the flu jab either normal or swine one
priority is for the elderly and those at risk with underlying illness.
As for swine flu i had it last week hit me hard tuesday morning spent three days in bed sleeping, breathing was hard to do
then as fast it came it was gone.
Still realy short of energy and my shoulders neck and head hurt all the time.

if your healthy, you can still get flu, it just wont kill you, if you do have a medical condition though, i would advise you to get it, better safe then sorry

i would see myself as very healthy, the only time i seem to get ill is when i let myself run down due to working too much and lack of sleep. infact i really need sleep now, lol

Me too :y:
I also need it as I work in health care.
If you dont fall into the catergory of needing it, i think to pay for it, its like £60.

am i a crazy mofo and is it just me but why do i not trust these jabs, hand on heart i dont like the thought of having these jabs because i dont trust the government and i wont be having one. i think im a mental case but surely theres got to be more people likeminded that imagine microchips and scientific testing etc.....i just dont trust anything ran by the government that would be sent out to hospitals and clinics for everyone in the country if it came to it.

what is the difference between the flu and a cold???
cold has same symptoms as flu
apart from someone said that flu makes your joints hurt aswell as cold symptoms, dont know this as never had sore joints lol
if thats true i have probably never had the flu in my life.
i get colds quite often runny nose, small cough but thats it lol
