Why does every print out you get conflict?

the machine told me one balance, the print out another, the mini statement yet another balance and the machine inside gave another balance again!

how am i supposed to know what money i dont have! smileys/smiley7.gif

i did have online bankin but i forgot my code and when i request a reminder it just comes up with ' we can not issue you a new code as you already have one'

as for asking - no. it encourages them to try to sell me things!

plus they just print me a statement thats 5 days old

Just threaten to change banks. I do that to mine every time tey piss me off. Might not fix anything in your case but it always fixes any problems I have with mine.

I know I guy that wont put his money in the bank because he gets it all from copying games and programmes etc. He has WAY to much money in a little safe at his house. I would jsut put it in my bank if it were me.

im with barclays and never had a problem.

mini statements are never bang up to date as they will always be a few days behind.

you only get your main statements every month, by time you get that, you probably wont have that much in as you may of spent some

cash machine will give you your correct balance, maybe if you had paid for something or waiting for something to clear you will get to figures on the screen, one will be how much you have in your bank (think thats the bottom one) at that time and the top one will be the money you will have the next day as something is clearing or being taken out

Here's your answer:

Yatesy is partly right - cash machines do provide an up to date balance.

If you had £100 in your account, and 10 minutes ago you spent £10 in a shop on your card then it would say:

Balance £100. Available Balance £90.

It takes upto three days for APACS for forward the card merchant details to your bank so that they can post the card transaction details to your account.

Online banking is the same, always look at the available balance rather than the balance was it takes into account any unposted card transactions.

I dont trust banks with all this scamming that is going around, my wage goes into it & i take all but £20 out & put it in my safe where i know no one else appart from myself is going to touch it.

I dont mean the banks are scamming us, its just there security isnt upto the scamming that is going around at the moment.

Ive got to much bad luck on my side, must have just been born with it + iam a paranoid fucker.
