Im needing a change from the saxo, Ive been offered a decent price for my vts from my brother and thinking of giving it up. Ive told him to give me a few months to save for another car and then its his. Im thinking of getting another mk4 astra as ive always loved them and only got rid of my last one for a mk5 astra. Im 18 and female so if i got a 1.8 sri astra do you recon it will become cheaper on insurance or stay the same? What do you's think of the mk4 1.8 sri 3 door? are they reliable? (surely nothings as bad as the sax), whats your opinions on this?
Cheers in advance

1.6 16v sxi
1.8 16v sri

The 1.8 16v SRI is group 9 and has 115bhp..so you would defo save some money on the insurance making the step down a group 14 VTS.
What about the 2.2 16v SRI? It has 147bhp but its group 13..you would still save money..not very much tho.

i think the sxi and sri's are smart looking cars (especially in black).. The 2.2 16v sri is the best fun (and the Bertone's are mint) but then ur insurance will be more and petrol will obviously be an issue...
Good, reliable cars though, easy to work on and loads of parts about.

nah dont fancey a 2.2 .... its just not needed really, i just like the extras that the 1.8 has over the 1.6 but obv the 1.6 is cheaper.... i think the 1.8 is the one to go for :y:
