i sold my my vtr last year for a nova red top.went like fuck in a straight but did not go round corners as the engines are way to heavy for the car,in the end i sold and reverted back to a saxo because i missed the handling so much!

My cousin has a C20 LET out of a Calibra 2.0 Turbo in his corsa..
Car is ridicously fast, but he has had a number of problems with the engine and has spent a lot on it!
He reckons he has done 1k miles in about 2 years!

If he can't be arsed to sort the bodywork out what state do you think the engine will be in? Other than that, he wants to swap it for a Furio. Got to ask why? They aren't even that fast unless it's had further mods.

You'd be better off buying a well sorted Vts (or better still an early model Clio Sport) and doing your own mods.

I've got a 91 gsi cavalier with the coscast head but have had problems with the engine but still been offered up 2 a grand for the engine alone.
They are also very tuneable..if it was me i'd get a good mechanic to have look and go from there mate.

mate raced a red top corsa in his sti subaru and he said it was the best frace he had in his subz but the only thing was the red top blew his bottom end the are quick if tuned right trust me
