Right,

I'm looking at getting a Cooper S but not going for the JCW as I plan to buy from a dealer and they're just simply too expensive! So... does anyone own one, know anyone who owns one or simply knows their stuff when it comes to Coopers :)

I basically have 9k cash + my current car which is worth tops 1200 private so sod all trade lol! Anyway, what optional extras are a must? Or what would you have if you were in my shoes?

theres one called mini2 or something.

tried a website called google? you can search what you want on it. its quite good. you should have a look at it :P

Don't like Cooper S as all the ones round my area are either driven by old people that dont drive them properly or are driven by absolute cunts that dont drive them properly. Just my thoughts though lol

that pistonheads one looks good, and looks like its had a good life since new, and with the long description etc i think the owner takes care in it alot. not bad at all mate :y:

Well worth the trip that list is stunning! If i was to look for a mini it would be one of that spec! I think 300miles is nothing considering how well its looked after and what its got .

It is very very lush... might make a road trip out of it :) Give me a chance to see how well she drives :) Just not sure how much those mods would put my insurance up :( Its only an extra £60 for the year to have a works but this isn't a standard works ;)

I know but a long way to go and find out its not up to scratch! Unlikely as he seems to adore his car but you never know!

The furthest I've ever been to get a can is near Hull (Cloud's old car) but that was because I sort of know its history :)

i do hope your getting the r56 supercharged one not the new turbocharged one?, supercharger whine is immense, mate of mine spend 2.5k on his getting it to works spec, it was 222bhp in the end, the charger whine was unreal

Not sure what the r56 is but i'm looking at the older shape so around 03 plate. Most likely going to go to a dealership because they offer this TLC pack for 180 quid that gives you 5 years free service, including parts and labour...only thing they don't cover wear and tear :)

Its gonna be a cooper S me thinks... can't afford a fcw from a dealer :(

JCW is around 212, thats a bit more power!

Well you can always get a CS and fitted a exhaust, smaller pully with belt to match, intercooler and then have it mapped

Yeah that's what I was thinking but then again why not just go for a JCW lol! I'll need to think about it tbh.. Its a lot of money and I'd prefer to give it to a dealer, but that means spending more and the JCW is out of my price range :( , but if I get one from Pistonheads then its easily within my budget :)

Ive got a Cooper S - after the VTS and its a whole different class of car. Much quicker, build quality is great and its got every possible extra. You'll love it!
