i had both back wheels off the car today, just to have a general check off everything pads ect, ok i fitted some ebay mud flaps at the same time. i know some of you guys dont like them, but i think they look quite good on.
anyway was putting one off the wheels back on and went abit overboad, and fecked the locking nut, any ideas, its not major important at the moment the pads and everything was fine, but it would be just my luck to get a puntcure lol
is there an easy way to get the nut out,
cheers again, ive been helped out alot on here with various probs with the car, am sending far to much time on here looking at all the threads lol

tighten the others up really tight, then whack a socket over that one and unscrew. Or make a a special tool, or weld a bolt too it. Depends what the nut looks like..

i am sure if u got a socket which was just small enough that you could smack it into the grove and yet big enough that when it was in it would be tight to unscrew the nut and as above tighten the rest as much as possible

basically all i mean is clamp the wheel nut tight to close up the crack in it. then just unscrew as normal.

Most tyre places will be able to remove it for you and replace with a new bolt for under a tenner

yes, i've never used one personally but know a few people that have.. a friend of mine had once bought the drill type ones and ended up breaking the whole set and still had the locking wheel nut stuck.. maybe they make them purposely hard so wheel thieving scum cant just whip wheels straight off with them?.. who knows
