there is a build thread @ rovertech.net , worth every penny !
Guy is a perfectionist :y:
btw, head gaskets are a bit of a weak point on K series engines, not T series !

The seller sounds genuine and he obvioiusly put a lot of time and effort into it.
He says he will drop the price by £250 without M.O.T? Is that a sign that work needs done to it?

Dont care what anyone says..its still a rover at the end of the day.
So many better cars out there for less than that. Could get a classic scooby or an evo 4 or 5 and still have money left over for bits and pieces for it.

it is a tad expensive for an MG but i don't see the issue people have with headgaskets as they do not go unless there is a twat behind the wheel. but they do need replacement after about 70,000 miles so no more than a sax, but most people don't fix it properly they just shove a new gasket on and they think yay fixed. :homme:
personally i love the MG ZR's but that one i wouldn't as its been modified and i generally don't buy a modified car for myself, i would prefer to buy one standard then do the work myself as then i know it has been done properly and not ragged. if i was you i would buy the new shape ZR's standard 1.4 but don't expect much power as thats the same engine as in my Rover 114. tbh i think you would be dissapointed with the 1.4 ZR in terms of performance, but this one is ridiculas imo, and it is far too much power 200bhp MAX in FWD's otherwise you get lots of problems, and i am sure it will be tempermental.
But overall a very good car as i said get a new Shape ZR 1.8 VVC with 160 BHP which is plenty in that car, and unlike the VTS's you can get the k-series uptop 180-200 BHp very easily.
Sorry might be a little confusing :P
