CoD on Veteran

I'm tyring to man up and complete WaW on Veteran and cannot get to the third mortar pit because I keep getting killed in the bit before?

Any hints to help me. I am using the Flamethrower and Type 99

the cave before.... just chuck loads of smoke grenades going through the whole lot (Y) whilst running through with the flame thower. it will work , might take a few goes

Apparantly the last 2 levels are near enough impossible. Not looking forward to it

Im stuck on the 2nd to last its such a hoe.. Plus im getting tired of the Russian commander always shouting at me =[

Im stuck on downfall on veteran...

To the OP... don't use a flame thrower you want an SVT or rifle of some sort, throw grenades and pick off a few people, then just charge and run for cover close by and keep doing this. Lay down and hide, eventually your team will take most people out. Then move up again... and repeat.

i have just started trying to complete it too, also on cod4, im useless. i get killed in seconds
