my sound proofing was piss wet through from having a leak from the windowscreen!! and was making my car smell of fust nice!! smelt even worse once removed the carpet.. so gave that a wash!!

followed this thread, didnt want to cut my carpet so unscrewed the bottom part of the brace, to get to the top part someone said the remove the centre console after done this found it pointless and waste of time! might have just removed the cover under the stearing wheel!

Same thing happened with mine when i took my interior out, it was soaked under there! Not nice!
Are your doorcards standard or changed? (the material bit)

what did the underlay stuff weigh and did you refit it or just the carpet?

i have no idea what it weights sorry, we've got some house underlay my dad wants me to use that :S but its also got a carpet built in with the underlay!! lol probly do for the time being!! i did want to order some second skin damplifier, but didnt know much much i'd need plus i havent really got the money!!
