You can still get a few places which will be open late on a sunday, the licensing laws usually mean places wont be open as late as a normal night. But most places will probably only do a sunday late night once a month cus most people have work on a monday.

Depends on where you willing to travel I guess, there's always nights out to go to in Manchester and I presume other cities are the same. It depends on what sort of night you want in terms of music etc.
