Ok,
So when I got the VTS I said I was going to keep it standard and I have so far.
Then I started looking at Caliper paint and now i've seen this
http://s1017.photobucket.com/albums/af299/Daft_dragon/?action=view¤t=b6aef306.jpg
I'm thinking of a lowering job.
can anyone tell from the picture how much this has been lowered, and also if that would be too low for everyday use.
The other thing was the rear lights have been smoked from what I can see do you think that was done from a spray can or if those where brought like that. (sorry if this last bits a stupid question) :geek:
Thanks as aways
Si

Depends what bumps you got in your area mate tbh
Where i live they are alot higher than surrounding areas...personally id recommend 40 - 60mm, thinking of mine soon.
The lights on that 1 are smoked Jewels aswell...just to let you know :y: - I bought mine on eBay for £45 i think - brand new

The one in the pics looks to be down about 60mm - Im down 40mm and the ride is quite stiff so personally wouldnt go lower than that. Depends if you want it for looks or preformance?

Cheers RJ303 sounds like 40mm is the way to go then, i really don't want to worry about ripping the bottom of my car off everytime i go to work LOL!!
does anyone know what the standard MK2 VTS hight is just so i get an idea if 40mm will make a huge amount of difference
Cheers

Thats a very tidy looking Saxo mate, I was always of the same opinion as you about staying standard but got bitten by the bug and now look lol.
They do look so much better lowered though :y:
BTW if you copy the image code on photobucket you can paste it into your post and have the image instead of the link - like so....

40mm all round is the way to start.
really anything over 60mm and you'd have to consider new shocks aswell...
First picture looks as though its around 80mm drop on back, may be less though...
Sure a drop like that though would be rather uncomfortable lol.

dunno if the vts wheels are heavier mate, but they do look nice when on a decked saxo...
vts alloys are 15" stock rather than the vtr's which are 14's

it looks about 60mm that first pic mate, mines down 55mm at the back, so look pretty much the same :P

As yours is flat arch, there are 2 fundmental problems with your statement.
1. Your car has a different height rear beam as std (it's higher) so 55mm out of yours may only be 30mm out of a vts.
2. The arches are at different levels (flat and vt) so the point you measure from is different.
Mine is down somwhere around 60mm at the rear with 50mm front springs. Sits spot on level between side skirts and the ground.
