has anyone used baker bm bushes and mounts? seen there advert in pfc and they seem pretty cheap, http://www.bakerbm.com/106.php?data=engkitn106, £80 for the ful engine mounting kit, i was just wondering if anyone has used them, whats the quality like and how is the car affected, i.e. vibration etc.
Also i notice it says "Suitable for: Phase 1 106/Saxo (Non Oil filled Top Engine Mount)" i've got a mk2 vts but its single plug ecu, post 01, so how do you know wether or not your top mount it non-oil filled or not??
help appreciated, cheers :)

Theyre good, had them on mine early this year, lasted well top quality mounts, vibration is as any other Grp N labelled mount, not huge but u can feel it.
You have S2 mounts. You will have to order S2/Phase 2 mounts. Not sure if baker do the ECU side mount yet for S2 cars.
You have oil filled btw.

If you go for the S2 Engine mount kit on baker, it wont have the ECU mount. Spoox sell a GrpN standard ECU mount now about 80£ i think.

oh my god just realised im thick as fuck, the "engine mount kit" from spoox is the whole engine mount kit.... lol its probably best to get the mounts off baker bm and the top mount from spooxs i presume then.
would you recommend any others? like powerflex mounts?

Powerflex dont make the upper mounts.
Depends what you use the car for and if your bothered about day to day comfort.
If you are then Powerflex lower mount, GrpN battery mount and a new standard ECU mount will be fine. (ECU mount makes biggest diff)
If u kinda are, but fancy abit of hardcore then a full Grp N kit.
Fancy abit more then Grp A lower and Grp N top mounts
Or if you want the hardest off the shelf mounts then Grp A full kit. It makes alot of vibrations though, i cant use my rear view mirror couse it vibrates so much, and the whole interior vibrates like a sub on full lol.

well i snapped my top mount ages ago and it was bodged up, but when it snapped it vibrated loads, felt quite nice actually, quite cosy! haha, think im gunna go for baker lower and gearbox mount and spoox ecu, there are just three mounts arnt there? lower, gearbox (under battery) and ecu (orange thing)... do you know what the "B-E-106ForkA 106 GrpA Lower Engine Fork Bush" is/ where?

hey mate i have the baker bm upper and lower group n gearbox mount with the spoox ecu side mount fitted
and its fooking awsome lol
they have made a huge difference doesnt vibrate a huge amount spose the lumpy idle drones it out lol but still not as bad as some people make it out to be
but a huge improvment the engine feels so much more solid now and a bit more responsive tbh
i dont really know how to explain how its improved the car but i just know it has lol if you get me, check out my progress thread i have pics of them on there and the fitting
def worth investing into mate

fit the same time as a powerflop bush but yeah much more stiff till the powerflex supples up.
what ive noticed that with uprated mounts its not just feel (vibration). you press the throttle and the car moves instantly and is more responsive. not just the engine moving about in the car.
those that have uprated mounts will know what i mean.

since i snapped my top mount ages ago the car hasnt seemed as responsive at all, it was a temporary fix which has managed to last until now... maybe all this engine movement is what has caused one of my drivershafts to go? should be all good when i get these mounts in hopefully.

snaping a top mount wont do any favours to a driveshaft.
