My brakes don't seem to be upto the job imo, the front where done just before I bought the car so I did the rears with oem bits. Anyway there well bedded in now :) but the brakes still don't feel that good. Checked the front pads yesterday an there halfords pads!! Are these crap?? Also not sure when the fluid was last done so I'm prob best gettin that sorted asap?? Cheers

defo do the fluid, alot of people overlook this and if anything its more important than expensive brakes. My brakes tend to fade quite easily and my fluids brand new, drilled and grooved discs are brand new and brand new mintex pads but im running vtr wheels that dont let out alot of heat so that plays a part also

Halfords stock ferodo pads so they are not actually that bad tbh.

Saxo brakes are crap standard.

get an upgrade with a 266mm or 285 mm kit up grade the m/c as well to get a better pedal feel

change the brake fluid for starters.. when I built my first track car my decent ferodo race pads didn't arrive in time so I fitted Halfords pads and disks lol. Wore then down in a day but they did the job - not the best quality but they shouldn't be completely rubbish. That would indicate that something else in the braking sysyem needs an overhaul

Take the passenger side rear wheel off and you'll see it. Heres a pic although mines snapped off.
