He's a game you lot with a digital trip can play...

You know when your range reads so many miles (for example mine was 99 this morning before I set off to work), try and get to your destination with more miles left than before you started your journey.

I went from 99 miles to 112 miles after an 11 mile trip.

It's really sad and anal but I love doing it :D

Unless it's that clever it can calculate your range from your driving style in which case

Isn't this due to the fact that the car uses slightly more fuel upon start up?

So your trip will be calculating the fuel based on that.

Nah, mine has an actual mpg readout, drive it carefully and increase your average mpg and your range can increase

It's easy, I can get mine to go up about 20 - 30 miles :)

Clio one is a bit of a pig for this.

Drive sensibly for 300 miles.

You have 50 miles left til fillup.

...where your average is so good, if you smash it the 50 miles til next fillup doesnt go down, it just misleads you so you run out of fuel.

on 60mile drive the readout on my 172cup was 40.3mpg, i dont know whether to believe it but i was cruising on the A1 so its possible. i was quite impressed, only car i can compare it to was my old cupra which used to return as little as 17mpg average on trips :) which at the time was even more impressive.

im going to have a go of the range game next time im out
