View Full Version : WTF... Quote for a VTS but not a GTi!?!?

.......Just got a quote for a VTS but tried to get a quote for a 106 GTi (looks better imo) and not one company would insure me... Even though they have the same engine!

I think it could be the brand of "GTi" most GTi models have high insurance tbh

Even still, exact same engine and no one would insure me......insurance sucks.....

thats northern ireland for you ! thought the 106gti was group 13 vts group14.but then again im an old man,and more insurance companies wouldnt quote me than those that would ! there are a few companies that just wont touch a vtr/vts in n.i.
be prepared to spend 3 times as much on insurance as what you would do living on the mainland.

Tell me about it, cheapest I could get for my vtr was £3700

18 years old, 0ncb etc. Even still £3700 is a piss take!

not far off 40,20years ncb, never claimed,no convictions,no points.etc.etc.
£700 and its still a rip off !
ive never needed insurance,never had a bump,never been pulled and asked to show my documents.if i was young and silly again i wouldnt even bother with insurance.

yep tried both,complete waste of time.just get the yellow pages out and ring up every company.even the insurance company im with wont quote me at all on the comparison sites,but are more than happy to quote me direct.
