Alternator

Hello i have a 1.1i saxo
the fan belt was slipping so i changed it, when i put the new one on, i realised that the alternator was half an inch to right of the pulley??(is that right)
now the belt keeps twisting and falling off
the tensioner and everything all seemed to have been put back on properlly

Sounds like it needs tightening up mate (the belt)

i put the belt as tight as it would go
it was even smoking, this time though it stayed on but twisted because of the alignment im guessing
