I'm going ahead with refurbing my VTR alloys, following the guide from this forum! Just have one question, can the following products all be obtained from Halfords for example?
car body filler
3/4 large cans of primer,
3/4 cans of chosen colour paint,
1/2 large cans of CLEAR laquer,
a pack of 240 grade wet/dry paper,
a pack of 1200 grit wet/dry paper

yeah you can get them all there but to be honest for the sprays it's best to shop around halfords can be a bit expensive. Also you should get some 400/600 like was said above.

I've been advised not to use halfords paint and maybe try a better product that will be longer lasting, have a better finish, more durable etc, has anyone successfully used their paints with good results as I can't really be bothered to search around! Unless anyone can recommend other decent stuff that can be obtained easily =)

Halfrauds rattle cans are bloody aweful, find a local paint supplier (ask your nearest body shop if you don't know where it is) and buy it from there instead.
They'll mix the paint for you using proper thinners etc and chances are you'll get a proper fan nozzle on the can, makes life much easier.
Alternative to that if you canny be bothered is to get them powder coated but that'll cost more. :y:
