View Full Version : whats best to use for vibration

Ive got some new 13cm speakers in my fron doors but there is nothing there to stop them vibrating on the metal. wots the best thing to use to try and stop this without spending to much money?

MDF rings are the best mounting option to reduce the vibrations that you're getting. Also look at putting some sound deadening behind the speakers as well.

ive jus got some dynamat speaker kit thing.. and it looks pretty good stuff.. 14 quid to do both speakers areas of the door.. i cant see why this wouldnt work..

Ok so i have just bought some 9 mill mdf spacer rings too for pennies... sorry to hijack thread but were still on topic i suppose... would it be best to take my comps speakers off the metal(cause they vibrate) apply some dynamat then cut out a hole for the speaker then apply the mdf ring and then screw the speaker to the ring and obviously into the dynamat, then the door behind it. That sound about right ? thanks ... i rekon that should limit some speaker vibrations
