Hello peeps.

Having been on here for sometime, I have noticed that one of the most frequently asked questions is "How much will it cost to send...?"

Well, I need to ask what you think of this...

I work for UPS, and have managed to get what I think are pretty good rates.

What am considering doing is offering a service where the sender would send me their address and the receivers address, I would then arrange for UPS to pick up the item, and send it - it will be a next-day service, and the prices shown are UK mainland only including Highlands.

The rates they have given me seem a bit steep for the lighter packages, but they are pretty good the heavier the weight.

The maximum weight is 70KGS, and these are the prices that would be charged for each weight:

1-5KG £10.50
6-10KG £11.50
11-15KG £12.50
16-20KG £13.00
21-25KG £14.00
26-30KG £16.00
31-35KG £18.00
36-40KG £20.00
41-45KG £21.00
46-50KG £22.50
51-55KG £24.00
56-60KG £26.50
61-65KG £28.00
66-70KG £30.00

It isn't live yet, I need to have a certain number of pickups arranged each week to get the above rates, but if there is sufficient demand, I will get the account arranged and set up.

Let me know what you think. For things over 70KGS and/or over certain sizes I am going to try TNT, they will be able to offer the facility to carry things such as engines etc.

Enjoy your Friday night peeps :)

Looks good and sounds reasonable Mike.

Maybe selling some things soon so would probably use the service :y:

Yeah looked at them, and interparcel.

Worth knowing about what the others offer, but very few companies ship via a more upmarket courier company :)

Thanks for your help though :):)

i use senditquick usually.

last place i worked we only paid like £2 for each next day DHL as we were their biggest UK customer. TNT also charged us very little. DHL won't take over 25kg and 3m iirc so we used TNT for bigger stuff. I've had half a ton on one delivery before!

Some of UPS's biggest customers get upto 70KG for about £1.80 - outrageous lol!!!
