sub, speakers cutting out when turned up loud??

when i turn the volume up, the spekers, sub cut out and then come back on if you get me lol
its like loosing all the power to them
any help would be great

are they run from an amp? as if they are you may be clipping a speaker, this will make the amp go into protection and cut the speakers out.

i had similar problem on my first car it was the fist sound sytem i had evr done and fuked it well thats what i thourt all i had done was not wire up the remote wire proerly have you dun that????

i had this problem in my car, i found that the wireing to the fuse on the power cable was not attached properly, and so the amount of power traveling to the amp was reduced. The amp never cuts out now.
