Usually the idiots that i work with.
My old company announced redundancies and you'd laugh if you see how the sales managers continued to wine and dine. They spend a sales reps weekly pay just on posh company cars, meals out and hotel rooms...

I hate it when i go to a job, and when im finished, the customer says "can you just have a quick look at this, it will only take a minute" ... which turns into 3 hours work, they seem to think comes free.

My work is just really frustrating. Its common to have my boss to walk up to me and ask if something is done. The only think is he will have forgot to tell me it needed doing. Same with ordering. Often I will place a order for something that is needed however the people doing the ordering have a habit of not ordering it for whatever or its put on back order but not telling me. I just end up getting shit from the customers all the time. There was one guy big tattooed nutter looking. That some one took in a job from. The only thing was it was something we cant do. We simply don't have the equipment. Then apparently he came in two days after and rather then telling him sorry we can not do the work, they took payment for the job off him. The job we could not do and they knew we could not do. So eventually this pissed off guy came storming in wondering why it was not done.
Another thing is when you are asked to do something. Ok that is fine its your job after all. But then you will be told to dos something different. Then a rush job will come in and you will have to drop everything to do that. Then I will get the blame because the first job is not done you. I generally get a snide comment like “I told you to do that” I normally come back with a comment like “you also told me to do X Y Z how many sets of arms do you think I have?”
There was a classic one the other day. We had a job that did not have a date of completion on it. Its not uncommon as its normally jobs that just get done when they get done, no rush. However apparently this job was to be next the next day. The guy was not best please when he turned up the next day and it was not done. So some apologized to him and told him it would be done the nest day. Only thing was even though we started work on it we were taken off it to do something more important. However the guy turned up again the next day and it still was not done. He was livid. Then the boss came out the back and started having a right go. However it was he who took us off the job to start with.
My boss has even gone on holiday for a few weeks taking the company credit card with him. That was a interesting few weeks. Another of the workers also when away not telling the rest of us about a very larger order. That was a huge fuckup. Only worked there a few years too lol.
This all is kind of a every day thing for me there. But it pays the bills.

You still working in a bike shop? Hell that is LOL So many orders and everyone always leave them until the last minute. I know all about placing orders and them not being dispatched, people promising work that can't be done etc.
Just have to not let it bother you. I didn't

hate the level health and safety has got to at my work :rage:
im a cnc machinist so work on the shop floor doing heavy engineering work and every month we get whats called a "download". its just an hour meeting/powerpoint presentation about whats going on in the company (site upgrades/orders etc etc)
in it is a bit on health and safety, any accidents etc. usually accidents will be a cut hand, foreign object in the eye or similar... several months ago now, one of the 'accidents' was a paper cut that someone in the offices upstairs got :wall:

rude customers, working in a inbound call centre customers being rude really fucks me off, i dont mind going way out of my job description to help customers with a genuine problem. but when i customer starts being rude abusive and generally a nob i cant be assed to go any further than needed.
some of the work force are idiots, and after 5+ years with the company still cant do there job correctly.

My work is utter tosh because everyone I work with can see what needs to be done to improve things/save money/move company forward but the idiot higher higher ups think ahh no we will keep as we are.
Print wrong contact numbers on customer letters so come via wrong dept, phone menu system is stupidly complicated and half time doesn't get to right place. Customers in general thick as shite anyway not understanding simple document stuff and not readinf their terms and conditions.
Bloody crap, still job is a job end of the day i go in get it done come home forget about it
