Newbie, here, just got myself 180bhp Vts!!!

Hi guys, just got myself a heavily modded MK2 VTS pushing 180bhp with tonnes and tonnes of mod's 4pot pistons all around etc.......... What do you think this will go like? I know standard they're 127bhp, so im hoping its should be a little terrier!!!

Dan Dodsons old car. The 180 bhp engine was sold seperatlely by Dan himself iirc

Seems like a genuine sale but like people are saying, the current owner obviously believes it still has the 180bhp engine. The Pipercross induction kit and the reciept from Pug Performance for £1000 sort of give it away that it probably had a standard VTS put back in it.

Willsy back in the day quite a few people were fitting 4 pots on the rear for a laugh, people were using modified calipers off evos iirc.

Dans front brakes originally were comprake 4pots although he was talking about hispecs before he sold the car.

And unlucky about not having 180bhp, not many people have that in reality :P

Tell me about it!!! Thats why i love forum's! I had an EVO 6 last year and found out about some very interesting mods that it had done which i wouldnt of had a clue about, meaning 440 BHP was easily acheivable.

i was duped myself into believing mine was 185bhp mine had all the recipts but it hasd loads of mods that probably was 150 bhp, so thats what tricked me because it performed well against civic type rs and 182s it was faster than them up to around 100mph so you aint the 1st one, its probably still well worth the money tbf even if its standard.

mine was one of the lad motorsport fairy cars, but there was deffo some truth to the power as it was fast in a straight line but id of said 20bhp over what it really was it had cams bigger pistons and some other bollocks lol...

hi there i am the 1 that has the car,first of all i relisted because the person that won it said he wanted the car alot cheaper and as u can imagin i was not going to let the car go cheaper than that,and he sent me a message saying all the best,when i brought the car he had all the receipts for the car even a receipt saying a 180bhp engine installed by performence pug,which i believed,as i had a 1.4 mg before so i wasnot really used to big power so i was aware that it was not .i said in 1 of my messages that i was sorry for any inconvience as i read the post and see what u lot had to say about the car so if thats makes me a bullshiting fucking slag then so be it,if i was silly enoth to believe receipts that i had:wall:

The car is still worth £1200 or more due to the brakes and stuff.

I remember passengering around the nurburgring in that car when it did have the pug performance engine(which only made 165bhp anyway), roll cage etc.

This was car pretty awesome in its prime (once the big wheels and stuff were removed).

That Dan with the white 106 GTi has really turned the engine into a beasty spec now. Just needs to sort a cambelt cover ;)
