Saving up for a C2! (change of mind)

just wanted to now if anyone has/had one, and would reccomend them.

i like the look of them. and getting wanting a change from a sax now, want something a bit faster aswell.lol

how much quicker?

i will only be 19, and insurance on the GT would be £1400, so i would imagine it be more for a VTS.

it will be a huge difference anyway, going from a 1.0 to a 1.6.

I went through a phase of loving them, test drove a few too. I still quite like the look of them but as an upgrade to a saxo i didnt think it was right for me, felt a bit too familiar. The worst one i drove was a furio and it felt exactly the same as the sax, just felt like the interior was going to fall apart.

did you try a vtr? i have and it felt worse than the saxo! the vts i drove was very nice though.

i was very close to buying a c2 vts but think i'd rather wait till next year and spend my 5 grand on something a bit quicker (gonna give a 182 cup a try and see if i like it more than the 172)

Also makes it a lot simpler to tune compared to the other two. All 3 are good cars.

I drove the VTR sensodrive and wasnt fussed but that Furio was definately the worst one i drove, it felt like things had loosened on it or it had been in a massive smash. Didnt try the VTS or the GT mind so i cant pass too much judgement on them. Im the same as you mate, im hoping to get a clio too, when i see cal's it kills me because i just can't afford one atm and wont be able to for a while lol.

i did a quote on one a couple of weeks ago. and it was £1400.
i am 18 no with one years ncb. so when i get it i will be 19 and have 2 years ncb, so should be a bit cheaper.

i will get a couple quotes on a VTS aswell.
and test drive both the GT and the VTS.

in my opinion i think the GT looks mint. in red with the white wheels.

yeah i do like the grill.

was thinking about doing something about the bumper. not sure what though. something with the grill and fogs.

Have you considered a Twingo GT? 1.2 turbo, low insurance and tax, good MPG and very easy to tune. Can get them brand new for around 8K too and mint second hand ones for around 6ish.

codes are pretty expensive compared to a gt!!! that leather is very marmite too but the body is the best colour they do!
