Car wont start

Its trying to start but just wont, think its something eletrical as nothing will work, but when im trying to put the lights on or put windows up for example, the dials r going crazy :S

Sorry not much detail wonder if anyone had this kind of problem before nd can u help? thanks

i had the same problem and it was my altinator, brough a new one only to find it was just a lose wire, good you im in the trade and got it for £10
