Just came back from viewing this piece of shit:
http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/CITROEN+SAXO/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146-236,N-240-4294966727-4294967089/advert.action?R=200933339902030&distance=30&postcode=ne4+5ln&channel=CARS&make=CITROEN&model=SAXO&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage=&vehicleYearOfManufacture=1999&vehicleRegLetter=T
Reg: T557 RDC
I asked him when was the cam belt changed and he didn't have a clue because the car didn't come with any service history.
So I then asked him if its got any paperwork apart from the V5, he said hes got 2 previous MOT sheets so I had a look at the current one and it said 82,000 miles on it but the previous one had 118,000 miles on it!
I was like wtf, he was shocked and said he just saw that too. I told him to go get his money back.
What a waste of time and £10 petrol!

Only the Newer Mk1 VTS's the R reg VTS's had no rear spoiler and citroen found everyone buying the VTR as there was no difference between them so they had to add extras to the VTS's for them to sell.
but in that case the wheels should be VTR wheels not vts wheels,

The T reg should have the larger boot spoiler and vt's' alloys.

Also the advert mentions at the start "1 OWNER FROM NEW" and then states later on in the ad that it "looks like its got lowered suspension"
well if you were the only one to own the car you should know if you got it lowered or not!!!

not necessarily bud. i've always bought mk1's - 1x vtr and 2x vts's.
my 97 plate vtr was standard when bought (no spoiler and "vtr" alloys)
my old 99 vts was nearly standard when bought (had rear spoiler and had had "vts" alloys put on (or so i got told))

i went to look at a 106 gti once, took a drove up staffordshire, it looked mint on the pics and i thought hmm, might be onto something here... about £1995 it was up for.. 60 k on it or something... i got there and i asked him to show me and he was like there is it...
Boot was open with a big rusty gearbox just sitting there rotting, mud all up the sides like it hadnt ever been washed.. the leather seats looked like a dog had eat them, paintwork was diabolical, bumper looked like it had been in a smash, when i got in it the alarm kept going off and the guy totally didnt know how to turn it off lol, needless to say i walked away instantly.. oh and it was up for like £2300 at the shop aswell and it said 112k on it not 60k.
I dont know why people dont just be honest..
when i got my saxo the guy was honest and showed me the receipts and everything and valleted it and presented it a million times better and he got himself a sale.

Dealers always do that!
They say the car got ## miles but when you go there its got at least 10k more and then when you tell them how shit the car is they make seem like its an easy fix and won't even drop the price.

yeah all abit wierd. it states one owner from new so if there was any fiddling it would have been that owner, surely?
if ever in doubt, just walk away tbh.
