installed my jbl 1000w sub and amp today. everything is fine and good but when it switched on and it goes through the sub it goes form the blue power light on the amp to the red protection light switching between the 2 and the sub comes right out and holds out as far as it can for a second when the bass is going then it'll be fine for 5 seconds then does it again making quite a loud noise....checked everything and it seems ok nothing loose.
what could it be? had a bit of a problem with the remote wire at the headunit end but can't see how it'll make a difference as we spent ages....

check your amp.. i have a 600 watt amp and the rca phono plugs are a little loose on thesolder inside the circuit board... causes cut outs sometimes but i have fixed it temporarily untill i can re-solder or purchase a new one.. i have a gt4 1000jbl aswell mate.. and this sort of problem causes like hums and cut outs.... have a little wiggle of the phono plugs on the amp and see if there loose at all... that would be a sign that you have same problem that i do.

on the back seats there is a hinge for the seats to fold. on this is a bolt which you can earth the amp to.
