He had spoken to her loads about doing the trip, he could tell she wasn't listening, even when he said "Bye"!

He was proving a point - the point being that he DID tell her where he was going etc, and he said during the film that he turned his phone off to save the massive roaming charges.

Quite amusing really. And I know how he feels........my g/f only ever hears what she wants to hear!
