When you say brand new, did you fit them yourself? Check the carriage has been tightened up correctly and that the holding springs are located properly. Also make sure that the caliper bolts are tight, as some people take the caliper off to change the brake pads rather than the carriage. The carriage bolts have a inserted Allen key type fitting, I think they are 7mm and the calipers are either 17mm or 19mm hex heads bolts.

As I have previously mentioned the caliper is held on by two either 17mm or 19 mm hex headed bolts situated at the rear of the disc and forward. Usually if these bolts have been removed they come out rather tight this is because theyare usually refitted using a locktite substance. If you decide to re-use these bolts give them a good clean and apply locktite and make sure that the bolts are refitted all the way down to the head of the bolt. The torque settings for the bolts depends on the size bolt that is fitted to your vehicle- M12-88 lbs ft (120Nm), M8-26 lbs ft (35Nm) and M12-77 lbs ft (105Nm).

Hi ive had the same problem i took it to a garage and found out it was all to do with a bar behind the wheel. Apparently it has slightly bent and catches every time i turn hence the knocking.I was told it could hapen if hit a pot hole to hard. if not figured out yet might be worth a check.
