What are the symptoms of a dodgy coil pack on a vts

What are the usual symptoms?

Would it relate to temperature at all as mines worse when hot/ after a run

It can fluctuate with temperature.

Mine ran perfect when it was all warmed up and the moisture in the coil pack had dried. But drove like a bag of shit when cold.

Can't imagine why I would get worse when warm though...

how much is a new coilpack generally? just out of interest.

ive put a thread in the engines section about buying one. As it seems you can get them from anywhere between £40 and £230. Just dont know if I would be shooting myself in the foot by getting one of the cheaper ones.


Cant think what else it could be other then the coil pack as I have replaced all the sensors on the tb.


Once the car is warm its just really lumpy on idle and every now and again the revs will drop down like its going to cut out before coming back to normal again :|
