door speaker help needed

my front door speakers are pop riveted in. anyone elses like this on the mk2 vtr. dont want to take the out incase i have nothing to screw to when new one fit in. what do i do ??????????

drill the rivets out with a 6mm drill bit or there abouts! dont worry you can always screw them back in again! holes in new speakers should line up perfect!
They all have rivets iirc!

yh i was gona say like the above post just drill them out and the holes should line up with the new ones

get some chubbier screws from b & q mate,, i used the ones provided with my comps but i found out they were too slim... fatter ones grip MUCH better,,, i took mine out and re put them back in with the fatter screws and boom... job one ( also with the aid of a little dynamat lol )

i just used standard screws that came with my speakers and they drilled fine into the metal
