non starter

hi all, bought a 1.4 furio accident damaged, been hit square on the front. engine cranks over fine but won't start. pulled coil pack off and pushed a plug in each contact and earthed it, theres no spark there on any of the 4. any ideas??

mine done this,under the bonnet on the rear right of engine bay there is a inhibiter switch, should have a square top with a red or black cover,push it when the ignition off and you should hear a click then fire it up .this switch only cuts out the engin the lights should still be on the dash and car will turn over but wont start so this should solve your prolem,let me know if it dosent:y:

that was first thing we tried, we repair accident damaged cars daily and these are our first port of call on non starters, think its either ignition or immobilizer related as there is no spark, can here fuel pump running when ignition is switched on as well

smart arse girlfriend found broken wires to crank sensor!! looked ok, all sheathing was fine but when it was peeled open the wires has been cut where rad had been pushed back! runs like a dream now!! joys of having to work with the missus lol, i'll just hang around in the corner of the garage looking humble from now on
