Well, i just bought my car today, being 17 and all was well excited, my mate bought his sub and amp enclosure round that he mite be selling me. The car came with the wires all set up.. but wen i unwrapped the power cables, they accidentally touched and sparked, s**t my mate up as he was holding them.. we just laughed. But wen we went to listen to some music the stereo wouldnt turn on? Weve checked the fuse for the stereo (in the fuse box).. and changed it, stilll nothing. It worked before but now not :(.. Whilst looking about we found another fuse in the back of the stereo but cant quite get at it yet... Do you think this may have blown? or is there a deeper problem?

Thanks guys :)

Well we never actually got the amp and sub going, after realising the stereo didnt work, we tryed fixing that... trouble is i didnt wire it, it came like it today, hav no idea where the power cable goes to from looking under the dash ( like up at it all) kinda splits, but looks like it mite get its power from the stereo itself.. im not too sure tbh

power cable to the sub will run down one side of the car usually on the battery side directly from the battery. u will also have a little wire (the rmote cable) and another one (the one that should be on the other side going form ur head unit.
u will need to take out the headunit and check the fuse on the back of that and the fuse under the bonnet thats connected to ur battery.

Well, in the car the wires i found are the power one and one that has the audio connections on the end? they both run down the battery side of the car...
