this:
another miss sold dream if you have never drove one before its believable

LAD actually have a good reputation for good levels of work, just the figures stated from them most people have never made anywhere else

they shouldnt be aloud to opporate tbh, they had done a good job with the vts i admit that it was a great car but its misadvertisement if they was in the building trade anything not true would be jumped on by trading standards.
you only come to realise the facts when its too late if you dont know much about the engines in a vts it could be belivable i only found out to get over the 150-160bhp barrier you needed throttle bodies through people on here.

A very bold statment tbh, they are very well respected in the 205 scene, with a very good reputation for what they build lasting.
Thats a good reason to be in business, dodgy RR figures (which could be down to the fact their own rolling road is shit) is different.

Did LAD actually claim that their cars have 180bhp or just called it 180 for the crack and then owners assumed that the number stands for bhp?

The old PDF stuff on point of sales was stating the car should be around 180bhp.
Same as the 160 bhp version.

Not looked more than 2 seconds but the 180 kit appears to not be there now

on my recipts 1 claimed "all work carried out to satisfactory standard and set up to 180bhp" another says "185bhp" lol.

surely though theyve had people coming back complaining and then going onto all the forums slating them, if you was the owner youd change whatever the problem was to give some truth so people could go anywhere and be proud that they owned an LAD motorsport conversion car and everyone knowing its an LAD conversion respected their claims and not the lol comments when people come on with an lad car.

Go on a 205 owners forum, you wont see many people slating them.
Most people who use LAD are not noobs, they want a car that works and works well, and generally dont give a toss about their cock sizes.
As ive allways said they have a good rep for work, but the quoted power figures are laughable, however these figures dont allways represent the real world anyway

suppose your right really all rolling roads vary theres no true figure unless you go to more than one and see what the figure is then.
just the idea of having 180bhp in something like that youd be raving about getting it as itd be a monster in straight lines aswell as bends. i cant argue with their workmanship everything looked nice and neat and it ran spot on. coming on here taught me a lesson with watching figures.

aghh yeah, thats what I was basing it on, every lad motorsport thing I have seen has been lightly fettled and had 180bhp blablabla

They should have changed the interior of the first 106 - looks like someone's thrown up all over it. Some decent leather seats would look much better.

I think it is a rule on PH that if you are selling a white 12yr old 106 with engine mods then you have to put it up for £7k.
Can get so many better cars for that money.

You can only test it once you have paid for it? And then what if you don't want it after a test drive?

Well it drives like a 106 GTi lol
He will take you out in it to show what it's like which is fair for a car of that quality.
The price isn't that bad, give it 10 years storage and i bet it won't lose a penny ;) A 106 GTi in 10 years time will be rare let alone one that actually works properly.
Shame he saved a shit phase 2, not the 2.5 without sidestrips and with leather, digi clocks etc!
