Helium and camping !

hey guys . . .

im going trax, as many of you guys are too!
im camping out with a group of lads, and asmuch as im the fool that will end up getting hurt for a few seconds of laughter... i decided to try and behave a little on this weekend mash up!

so im looking for helium and laughing gas... i know the laughing gas will be hard to get hold of...but more to the point, a canister of helium.

i see the ones on ebay for like 20 bucks for a canister that will fill 50 10" balloons... how much helium is that?

you can useally have a laugh on 3-4 baloons... so i would assume, 50 would be a good barrel of laughs for 20 odd people, right?
or get two of them.

anywhere else reccomend palces to get helium?
my local "birthday" shop, sells massives ones for like 100 balloons, but require 50 bucks deposit for the canister...well tbh, im just going to leave it so dont want to be paying OTT for it!

all places seem to be around the same price, so does Ebay... around the 20-25 quid mark to fill x amount of balloons... then obvioulsy the deposit on the canister.
but ebay, is 20-25 + 10 for postage...

its fair to say, ebay is winning... helium, is helium...right?

aii ive heard about that, fucking up your lungs, and air in the system and shit.
but its only going to be used for quick blips... like you would at a party when you were younger... for the lulz! but was thinking how much for a group, you know for a fact, if you were with mates and had a balloon of it, you'd have a laugh.

Thats my point, if you breathing in helium you ain't breathing in no oxygen and also your body will try to use the helium therefore will go into your blood stream and replace where oxygen molecules should be thus less oxygen leading to chance of suffocation.

Is in extreme cases ofc but helium also comes in different strengths, ie the type companies use is extra strong as keeps the baloons up for days.

yeah i saw that they had for an extra 5er use some of "this stuff" and it will last longer!

haha bollocks, try being a sat diver, they breath around 70% helium for over 6 weeks at a time :)

edit: you want a laugh and not have to spend lots of money or lug a big bottle of helium around? : cough cough just a thought -

yes aslong as you get a good few gulpfuls of normal air every time the helium wears off you'll be right :)

Thats the point i was trying to make, helium itself isn't too bad, but when your aren't breathing in any onxygen for 5 minutes, thats when the problem lies :D
