I'm looking to get these beauties:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/bonnet-raisers-citroen-saxo-vtr-vts-raiser_W0QQitemZ300340170527QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_ CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45edab4f1f&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

but the seller also sells a polished version for an extra £2.50, is it worth getting the polished ones?

the polished ones are gold and i like the silver look of the non-polished ones, but will the non-polished ones rust?

and finally, do bonnet raisers cause any problem in heavy rain, or when you're opening your bonnet?

Those look very tall man, you dont want the raisers too high imo!

Once they are fitted you wont see them so not much point going for the polished ones. Finally, pure personal taste here but bonnet raisers do look pretty crap on a car that dont actually need them. Im not saying DONT buy them, but just saying they they look shite, I had them, car looks so much better without.

mine doesnt cause any problems, its not worth going for the polished ones unless your going to always have your bonnet open for people to see them

they're one inch, and i'm suppose to be buying an air filter, and the guy told me that it didn't fit his saxo without the raisers on

Personally thats a load of crap mate. What model filter exactly are you buying?

1" bonnet raisers will be wel high.

Mine were around 1/2" and they looked crap! So 1" from my point of view would be terrible lol.

But if its something thats caught your eye/want to do then by all means try it out, you may like em.

I like 99% sure he is wrong, unless he doesnt have correct fittings/or is mounting the filter incorrectly you shouldnt need raisers for a filter. There designed to fit (as long as its an aftermarket one for a saxo)

anybody who works in a machineshop could make a mint selling these babies.

4 of 10mm bolts
Handful of washers
and 4 pieces of 25mm round aluminium rod bore it out to suit the bolts

not a fan of raisers myself, but a 1" raise (double rushy's) would look really daft imo
