I payed £5 for a set of blue ones at French Car Show thinking they would be average and they turned out really nice. A few of my friends thought i'd done an HID conversion! They cast more light out down the road, and they look good on MK2 Saxos because they have clear lensed headlights whereas older cars (and even 106's) have got blurred ones which you can't see the bulbs behind. If you get my drift.
if you're going to Trax try getting some cheap ones there. H4 is what you need. Or i'm sure many of the ones on eBay are fine too like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380089154797&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
Hope this helps. :y:

Yeah i got some xenon headlight bulbs which had side lights too, was told the blue was illegal so went for the super white ones, which as VJOFURIO said can easilt mistaked for a HID conversion lol.

Get caught with blue lights. 60 quid and 3 points. Only emergency services are allowed blue lights.

It depends really. i got stopped and they noticed i had blue sidelights. He just said make sure i take them out. Traffic cop would definately give you the points and a fine tho. Coloured sidelights arent that visible with the headlights on.

There are bulbs that are legal with a very slight blue ish tint to them. But as people have said its illegal to have true blue headlights, it also invalidates your vehicle insurance and will make you car fail a properly done MOT.

Though you did say you were after brighter bulbs right? The thing about blue light is its very VERY poor to see in. Untinted lights are FAR better to see with if that is what you are after.

Yeah I have a set of quad LED sightlight bulbs, plus my number plate bulbs, which are very blue, I never drive around with just the sidelights on though for fear of getting pulled over, my headlight bulbs cast a very white (slightly blue) light and the glass is blue to look at.
I was hoping that your average traffic cop would just tell me to change them. Maybe i'll put the standard white ones back in as it's asking for trouble if I get points, plus the MOT is coming up next month!
