iirc it shouldnt affect the locking itself,me personally i'd take the locks out aswell just so its central locking

de-locking is alot of work for not alot of gain, i am only doing it because someone buggered up my lock with a screwdriver so its easier to de-lock

Removing the pin is easy but tbh is there any point, you won't be able to unlock it from the inside,

You totally remove the door pins and replace them with small rubber grommets to block the hole up.
