a friend of mine is going to purchase one hopefully this week as a toy :P

185bhp and rev changes at 8300rpm or so :y: fun cars to drive yay or nay?

has anyone on here got one, and what are they like?

are they the purest vtec there is? and is it worth the £££ hes paying round the £6k mark for it, i told him if hes paying 6k for it he might aswell look at the dc2 type r, hes set on a honda vtec :y: and understandably so, excellent cars the performance hondas

EDIT: although thinking about it the EK9s are alot rarer

Awesome car. Keep their money due to rarity. IMO DC2's are overvalued... Well some are.

agree with some dc2s being over-valued but im sure as soon as u show evidence of cars being cheaper etc, the seller will drop his price in order to sell it, if not hes a dipshit lol

I got offered an amazing jdm a few months back. Gearbox rebuilt about 2 months before. 90k on the clock. Wanted about 4k for it and it was really a minter.

good cars, not really that fast in a straight line, handle really well though.
Use a shit load of fuel when in vtec....

Make sure you put oil in it and dont let it get too low.

EK9 is an awesome car, is a facelift or pre? I prefer the facelifts to dc2's, I think dc2's are starting to show there age.

erm for 6k id say it was facelift, he did mention it was a T reg one with manifold and exhaust and stuff :)

Dc2 is probly the better car but as said the ek9 are rarer, defently the case around my way probly only 3 or 4 ek9's but well over 20 dc2's easily.

The black ek9 dan posted. WTF is the peice of shit loose the bbs rims its a ricer get a backbox and ditch the scaffolding pole a nice spoon wouldnt go a miss and that spoiler.... the picture being taken from the floor does it nothing.

The b16b engine the ek9 has is treuly awesome. Having seen countless videos and reading on EK9.org, they are my favourite Honda Civic ever made. I would have one in a heart beat if money would allow and I could afford the insurance and running costs. You will find it very hard to find a road legal FWD car that is as good on the road as it is on track...the EK9 has everything
