Thinking of going to the seaside this bank holiday if the weather is nice enough...

Can anybody recommend a place which is nice to go to for the day?

Must be plenty of fun stuff to do and a busy place, not a dead resort...

Not fancying skeg or ingoldmells etc though...

Also would be handy if it was no more than a 2 hour drive from east midlands...

K thanxx

I moved from scarborough last year, wish I never had now, love the place and loads to do too.

Be warned though the Leeds A64 to scarborough will be RAMMED on Friday with people going to Scarborough, only thing that puts me off going on a Bank Holiday the tail backs of traffic.

conwy is nice with the smallest house and ish, llandudno (not really a beach though more just a prom and pebbles, there is a cool dry ski slope hidden up the great orm though), or you could sleaze it up and get your blackpool rock on!

yeh if you get to where the entrance to the sky lifts (or w.e they are called) there's a steep road that goes up and past the toilets it's up there :) think there's a sign for it :)
