Right well to start off.
the main problem is.
My radiator cooling fan turns on after say like 7-8 seconds of the engine running.
About 2 weeks ago my car over heated due to wrong coolant / water levels and no fan on as i noticed the fan wasnt plugged in! only part i didnt look at when buying! :(
so sorted the coolant and everything. but when i plugged the fan in i noticed they unplugged it for this reason. it stays on for the full journey and 10minutes or so more after the ignition is off...
Went to car part shops, gave them my reg they gave me a fan switch for my reg, which was the wrong part :S mine wanted a 2001 part not 2000.... which is a 3 pin switch, the connector to that is 3 pin but only 2 wires to it is this correct ?? the third is like an earth wire?..
also changed the coolant sensor incase this was it.. but also but the same problem! they gave me a 2pin when i took a 1pin out.. and mine is a 1pin connector with a 1pin earth :S....
looked through haynes manual the lot and there the main things it can be from what i know..
Could it be the wrong bits on my car or is there more to this?
Help would be greatly appreciated as ive spent £40+ so far on a switch, thermostat and coolant sensor/warning light sensor.
Pics of my engine and parts off my engine will be up soon.
