So i decided to give up smoking 4 days ago, havent had a ciggy for 4 days and gave all my rizzla, filters and bakki away so i have no temptation to smoke. Im on the nicorette patches and the nicorette gum which cost alot! Wish i never started :wall:

Im finding it so hard, my lungs seem to be hurting and all i can think about is smoking! arhhh! When i see somone on TV have a ciggy i just get mega bad cravings!

I've got a question though, if there is anyone on here thats given up smoking before did you suddenly piss loads when you stoped smoking? i cant seem to stop pissing and im 99% sure its somthing to do with giving up smoking, could it be a side effect?

Anyway i feel better in myself, my girlfriends happier and my mates and family are giving me good support!

Cheers, Lloyd.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the stop smoking thing they advertise on TV gives you them free.

nah you have to go to atleast one group session with aload of other people before they give you them on prescritpion. They used to give them for free on the NHS

I think free patches really depend on the area you live in.
I'm sure you can get them free is from from an NHS Health Action Zone (HAZ) but I don't know what or where they are.

Congratualtions mate -the first 3days are the hardest & u've done yourself proud getting this far -the good news is it gets a bit easier from here on in. On Monday i'll have been stopped for 5 weeks & I can honestly say I only really get a strong craving maybe once a week where I seriously think about having a cheeky 1.

In those 5 weeks I have saved approx £150 (£30/wk) and I have found much better things to spend it on! (My VTS surprisingly enough)
I feel much better physically & I'm a happier person for doing so!

Congratulations again mate, keep it up :y:
