hi i notice the car lost a bit of oil from a leak but is not from the head gasket but just under that can be the gear box leaking?? thx

erm you may have the same problem i hope im having is it on the left side of the engine near the alternator ? if so i hope mines either the sump gasket or crankshaft seal :y: minor problem :)

hi mate and thx for the replay! the leak is on the right side when you look the engine , below the head gasket above the sump gasket just at the top the gear box is ! hope my english is not to bad and you will understand ( i'm italian )

if it is gearbox oil then will be coming from the driveshaft most likley
gearbox oil has a distinct smell and is a musky yellow colour dab your finger in then sniff

i will give a look what tape of oil leak that a good tip thx very much !! maeby tomorrow i will post a pic now is to dark !!

anyone know if the leak is the gearbox?????

mines is like that too but no leak try givin the engine a good clean steam or power was h (read up first) then replace the rocker cover gasket bout 7 quid and see if it leaks mines was like that done this sorted :D
