ticking/tapping noise.

had my tappets adjusted 3 days ago and the tapping stopped. Then last night the tapping noise came back but now seems even worse like a f-in tractor! What else could it be?:panic:

loll i jsut posted the same prob a few days back strangely mines isnt doing it now but i have not drove the car for 2 days. turned engine on and it isnt doing it :S

does the car drive okay? lets hope it is just noisy injector/tappets. Try a oil/filter change. The other thing it could be is awful :(

i have not gotten the tappets adjusted yet or changed oil it seems to have gone but i havent driven the car properly in a couple days

not good mate bottom end did cross my mind. I'm going to adjust tappets again after watching the mechanic do it i will do it myself now! Change oil and filter to a nice fully synthetic 5w-40. Slacken the timing belt like that guy suggested as that was done not long ago either. However after listening to your vids mine doesn't sound anywhere near like that lol.
