ok recently i been using parents car and really noticed a differance in the braking compared to my lil sax. i seen a few people have upgrades to 306 brakes i think they are.
any recommendations that ain;t too expensive but will see a differance?

Mintex 1144 pads a lot of people will +1 this. Got them on my Gti and someone who even has wilwoods on their car says they are good

so just upgrading the pads will see a differance rather than getting bigger discs and calipers

306 gti-6 carriers would go under 15"s and you can get the pads and disks off KAM Racing. they may need some grinding on the calipers from what iv herd.
iirc getting the 306 master cylinder would also be a good idea to get more feel in the peddle

Mintex are generally good, affordable as well as effective. I have Mintex pads on my Furio, plus drilled grooved discs which are really rather effective! They took about 300 miles to bed in properly though!

drilled discs are overrated, and generally accelerate pad wear.

There isnt any need to get drilled and grooved discs. Your better off with a good set of mintex discs/maxtorq group n's from Kam racing and then a decent set of fast road pads if you didnt want to go for a 266/283mm upgrade.

I personally think the 266mm upgrade/hoses is awesome, love mine made so much difference.
