as above , i want to paint my show cage how do i prep it for paint what primer do i use

sand it down till its back to bare metal, then primer on.
:EDIT:
id recomend grey primer. halfords rattle cans would be ok. plus colour of your choice

yep..add 100% right.prepping is the most importnat bit mate. get yourself 120 grade and then wet n dry paper,prime,sand,prime paint lacquer...dust free environment. dont be put off by spending an hour sandin down mate!! all works out for best in the end!!

you'll need to etch prime it too as alloy

what id do for a show cage is get it completly sand blasted which will cost you 20 max then get it powder coated another 30 max this will make it look proffesional and the dogs
