New parcel shelf for 6x9's

Just bought my saxo east coast 1999 :P very happy with it but i want to put some 6x9s in it, but i dont think it would be good putting the speakers in the original shelf as it wouldnt be strong enough.

How do i go about making a new parcelt shelf for them

My one had MDF i think full way across and they were just fixed to the bottom. Too much effort for 6x9's though lol

i and most people would recommend getting front component speakers instead.

ah my parcel shelf before i bought it had 6X9 speakers in and there is no evidence that it was not strong enough
