gearbox going which new one

my gearbox has strated wineing and my mk2 vtr and is need of changing soon so was wondering if i should just put a normal vtr box init or a vts, which year boxs will fit?

a VTR box is better than the VTS box but i think it's the 106 rallye box is best for quick acceleration. correct me if i'm wrong about the 106 though anyone.

nah... the ratios aren't as good in the vts box... if you do a search you may be able to find the info on the gear box's technical data etc. iirc the vtr box you get an extra 5 odd MPH out of each gear giving you a better top speed and quicker acceleration... a vtr box on a vts engine would be quicker than a standard vts BUT then a 106 rallye box has even better ratios... but then everyone knows this and sells them really expensive!

I'd just get another vtr box.

all the saxo boxes are shite to be fair if you have to replace it get a 106 1.3/ 1.6 rallye box the ratios are much tighter and better for accleration and are much much stronger that the citroen boxes...you dont need a box for top end in this country anyway seen as you cant go anywhere without running into the good ole gatso or fecking speed bumps lol...

Saxos are basically 106s and vice versa there the same car but with different badges to put it bluntly lol, there all small block engines and have the same bellhousing so all the gearboxes can be interchange and used with one another...

i have a fully reconditioned vtr box i bought for £400 u kn have it for 250?

ive got a vts and if i put that box on it would fuk the ratios up.
