what sorta engine mods could you get for £1000 - £1500 for a vtr, and how much is throttle boddies and is it a big job to fit them and get them up and running etc

If youve already got the basics, exhaust, air filter and a well serviced engine then the next step is uprated cams and a remap. For that money you could build a turbo setup, if you did it yourself. You could just about build a bodied lump too but it would be with bike bodies rather than the purpose built ones.

Would just get the rest of the breathing mods ( If you havnt already got them all ) then go from some cams and a remap, that will take you to between £600 - £800 and keep the change lol

cheers guys its either do up the vtr engine or sell the car and buy a 106 gti or a vts and tune it up (wont be going for bodykits tho lol)

drop in a 16v mate, don't waste time tuning the 8 valve. Unless your willing to spend a whole lot more...you're always gonna want more power.
At least with a 16v you're instantly 30 brake infront.
And don't forget, more power means you have to spend more elsewhere too. Brakes, fuel, INSURANCE etc.
